Diary of a Lover Scorned

I did take a bit of time trying to decide which song I would like to post first. A 'lead track' if you will. In the end my creative side decided for itself as I found myself developing a storyboard for a potential music video for one particular song. That combined with the fact that I really like the meaning behind the song and how it delivers a punchy end.

The song I have chosen is called 'Diary of a Lover Scorned'.  I will only post the lyrics now so that people can have a read and think about the meaning for themselves.  Later on I will add a breakdown of what the song means to me, then the video of me attempting to sing.  Not sure when I will get to the music video.  I may end up tweaking some of the lyrics later on, but for now - Enjoy! :)

Welcome!

I thought that I would write an introduction to my blog, as it may not make a lot of sense to a lot of people. My real name is Jeremy Reading and there are a large number of varied things that I have done with my life. But for some reason in 2011 I found myself having a lot more internal feelings that I was bottling up inside. Without even realising why, I then found different tunes and melodies popping into my my head and lyrics to accompany them. The next thing I know I have written a few songs which I think are pretty alright. Now I must stress that I CANNOT SING!! I have been known for cats to start crying and ear drums to pop whenever I try. I also cannot play an instrument. But I wanted to share the songs that I have written with the world. Now I can post the lyrics here no problems. But you would have no idea what they would sound like. So I will be posting the lyrics, as well as attempt to sing them on video. So don't judge my singing attempt - just the song itself. I have also had fun thinking of video clips to go with my songs, so I may try these out as well (or at least do a story board). If anyone wants to help out with either singing or instruments feel free to send me a message! Would love to try and take this further. Oh, and by the way, I am a gay male so these songs will reflect that. So if by some miracle you have stumbled upon this blog, I say a big HELLO!!! Jeremy a.k.a DEX.
